Learna and University of Wolverhampton launch flexible healthcare courses

The five new programmes are designed to fit alongside full-time work and clinical practice

Learna and the University of Wolverhampton have partnered to launch five new master’s and postgraduate diploma healthcare programmes.

The flexible, online courses are designed to allow students to balance their studies with full-time work and clinical practice, and will cover acute and urgent care, diabetes, healthcare leadership, medical education and primary care.

They have been made specifically to suit the needs of healthcare professionals, providing daily engagement opportunities through an academic forum to ensure that students can interact with peers and faculty on a regular basis while progressing at their own pace.

Sharon Arkell, Dean of the faculty of education, health and well-being at the University of Wolverhampton, said: “This new partnership is a really positive step forward for the faculty, helping to strengthen our portfolio of healthcare degree courses while at the same time offering students the flexibility they need to study, especially if they have jobs or family.”

The collaboration is aimed at supporting the development of the UK healthcare workforce, particularly in regions such as Wolverhampton and the Black Country, and the courses have been designed to attract local healthcare trusts.

Learna’s Chief Executive Officer, Courtenay Probert, said: “We are thrilled to embark on this partnership with the University of Wolverhampton. This is a significant step forward in our mission to improve global healthcare through accessible, high-quality medical education.

“By combining our strengths, we can empower healthcare professionals worldwide to achieve their full potential and make a positive impact in their communities.”
