JOSH HARTNETT IS returning to the big screen in M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller, Trap. Hartnett will play Cooper, a dad who takes his daughter to the concert of her favorite pop star, Lady Raven (Saleka, Shyamalan’s real-life daughter). Only once he’s at the concert, Cooper discovers that it the whole event is actually a trap to catch a local serial killer known as “The Butcher.”

Shyamalan is known for his plot twists in films like The Sixth Sense, The Visit, and the Unbreakable series. Interestingly, the trailer for Trap reveals the first plot twist: Cooper is the killer the police are hunting.

With one of the biggest plot elements already disclosed in the film’s preview, fans have been speculating for weeks about what else the film might have in store. Based on the writer/director’s exciting past output, it should be quite compelling and exciting.

Trap will star Hartnett and Saleka, along with Ariel Donoghue, Hayley Mills, and Alison Pill.

Fans can watch Trap in theaters starting August 2, 2024. Given the positive reception and the following Shyamalan’s previous thrillers have received, it is likely to be a packed opening box office for the entire first weekend.

When Will Trap Be Available to Stream?

While there is no confirmation on the release date for streaming platforms, the film will eventually be available on MAX due to the Warner Bros. partnership. Fans will likely be able to stream the from the comfort of their homes by Fall 2024.
