Baxter has appointed Heather Knight as Executive Vice President and COO

Baxter International has appointed Heather Knight, who has been leading the company’s Medical Products and Therapies unit, as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Knight holds over three decades of healthcare industry experience and previously served as President of Baxter’s Americas region and its Acute Therapies, Clinical Nutrition and Medication Delivery business units, after joining the company in 2019 as General Manager, US Hospital Products.

Prior to this, Knight held a variety of roles in general management, global upstream and commercial capacities at companies including Medtronic, Covidien, Tyco Healthcare and Kendall. She is also currently Director of Waters Corporation.

In her latest role, Knight will be responsible for Baxter’s day-to-day business operations, such as global sales, marketing, research and development, supply chain and medical and regulatory affairs, while continuing to lead the company’s Medical Products and Therapies unit on an interim basis.
