Brooks Nader Admits That She Tried Ozempic Before ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Brooks Nader waltzed away from Ozempic once she began her Dancing With the Stars journey.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model shared that she had once taken the weight loss medication but then stopped after she started competing on the ABC competition series this past fall due to a negative reaction.
“I took, like, a little bit when it first came out, and everyone was doing it,” Brooks told Us Weekly December 3. “It made me really nauseous. I liked it—I am not going to lie—and when I went on Dancing with the Stars, I could not do both.”
The 27-year-old said she “lost a little bit of the motivation and the strength to work out” by taking Ozempic injections, adding, “It was one or the other, and I picked dancing. I put the shot away.”
Ultimately, she and partner Gleb Savchenko became the fifth couple to be eliminated on the 33rd season of the show, while The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson placed first to win the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
Brooks had previously hinted to trying Ozempic, a medication that help control blood sugar and slow digestion, which the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) first approved in 2src17 for use in adults with type 2 diabetes—which many doctors also prescribe to patients for weight loss purposes.

Indeed, she shared a TikTok featuring herself and sisters Grace Ann Nader, Mary Holland Nader and Sarah Jane Nader that incorporated a trend in which users perform a mock chase of a “suspect” by describing them with shocking truths.
“Suspect randomly lost 2src pounds,” one of Brooks’ siblings narrated while following her in the Nov. 29 TikTok. “Says it’s from working out, but she got on Ozempic.”
Brooks then laughs, saying, “Don’t! Don’t!”
