Datapharm collaborates with VIDAL to improve medicines information access in France

New partnership to integrate SRD search technology

Datapharm, a UK-based provider of medicines information, has announced its expansion into Europe through a strategic partnership with VIDAL.

This collaboration will make Datapharm’s Scientific Response Document (SRD) Search technology accessible to healthcare professionals (HCPs) in France via VIDAL’s platform, with interest from 11 global pharmaceutical companies.

To help HCPs find reliable online answers about medicines, Datapharm collaborated with Medical Information Leaders in Europe (MILE) to develop SRD search technology. This technology, already adopted in the UK and Germany, will now be integrated into VIDAL’s platform, providing HCPs in France with comprehensive, up-to-date medicines information.

VIDAL, which offers information on medicines and treatments from French Authorities and pharmaceutical companies, has over 300 million page views annually. The platform is used daily by 327,000 French HCPs seeking accurate information on medical therapies.

Datapharm operates the electronic medicines compendium (emc), attracting over 85 million annual visitors. It hosts content from over 320 global pharmaceutical companies, providing current information on medicines licensed for the UK. The new partnership will extend Datapharm’s reach, making its technology available to HCPs across Europe.
